Speech & Debate

Elementary / Middle / High School

About the Course

Our Speech & Debate course helps homeschool students from upper elementary through high school find their voice and build real confidence in public speaking. Students learn how to organize their thoughts, write and deliver speeches, use persuasive language, and present clearly in front of others.

Throughout the course, students will practice speaking individually and in small groups while learning how to respectfully share opinions, support their ideas with reasons, and listen to different viewpoints. This course is designed to help students become more confident communicators in a fun, supportive, and structured environment.

Course Expectations

Students will participate in speeches, discussions, debate-style activities, writing assignments, group practice, and presentations designed to build confidence, improve communication, and strengthen critical thinking throughout the year.
