About the Course
Literature & Reading Comprehension helps students develop strong reading, analytical thinking, and comprehension skills through the study of literature and informational texts. Students will explore a variety of genres while learning to identify themes, analyze characters, evaluate arguments, and make meaningful connections between texts and the world around them.
Through discussion, reflection, and literary analysis, students will deepen their understanding of language, strengthen critical thinking, and build confidence in interpreting and responding to what they read.
Course Expectations
Students will participate in reading assignments, discussions, comprehension activities, written responses, literary analysis, vocabulary development, quizzes, and projects designed to strengthen reading fluency, comprehension, and analytical thinking throughout the year.
