About the Course

Mathematics at Astrolabe Institute is a twice-weekly homeschool math class for elementary, middle, and high school students. With skill-based placement, not age alone, each student builds logical reasoning, problem-solving, and genuine mathematical fluency at the level that fits them.

Students will engage in direct instruction, guided practice, collaborative learning, hands-on activities, and real-world problem-solving. The course supports both independent and group work to reinforce learning and promote mastery of key mathematical concepts.

Course Expectations

Students will complete regular homework assignments, practice activities, interactive review games, quizzes, tests, and problem-solving exercises throughout the year. All students will complete a placement assessment before beginning the course so they can be placed at the level that best supports their current skills and learning needs.

This is a two-day-per-week course.
