Astrolabe is a direct Step Up provider in Oviedo, FL. That means Florida homeschool families can use the PEP or FES scholarship to pay for our classes directly — often with little or no out-of-pocket cost.

PEP (Personalized Education Program)
Florida's scholarship built specifically for homeschool families. PEP funds can be used toward approved enrichment classes like the ones Astrolabe offers — making a professionally taught program accessible to homeschoolers.
FES (Family Empowerment Scholarship)
A Florida scholarship that helps eligible families direct education funding toward the programs that fit their child. Astrolabe accepts FES toward tuition just like PEP.
Three steps to enroll with Step Up

Have (or apply for) a Step Up scholarship
Florida families can apply for the Personalized Education Program (PEP) scholarship for homeschoolers or the Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES) at StepUpForStudents.org. If you already have one, you are ready to go.

Choose your classes at Astrolabe
Pick the courses your child will take. Tuition is per course, per quarter, so you only fund what you enroll in.

Pay directly through the Step Up portal
Because Astrolabe is a direct provider, you can pay tuition to us right in the Step Up portal — there is no out-of-pocket cost to front and no reimbursement paperwork to chase.
What “direct provider” means for you
Some programs make you pay first and file for reimbursement. Because Astrolabe is a direct Step Up provider, your scholarship pays us straight through the portal. It is the simplest, lowest-friction way to fund enrichment classes — and it is one reason many of our families attend at little or no out-of-pocket cost.
