About the Course

Economics, Markets & Money introduces upper elementary students to the basics of how money, markets, businesses, and everyday financial choices work. Students will explore topics such as supply and demand, entrepreneurship, budgeting, investing, trade, and why prices change.

Through games, simulations, projects, current events, and real-world examples, students will learn how economic ideas connect to everyday life. This course helps students understand the choices people, businesses, and communities make while building problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.

Course Expectations

Students will participate in hands-on activities, games, simulations, discussions, projects, assignments, and real-world problem-solving exercises designed to make economics engaging, practical, and age-appropriate throughout the year.
